Through its certification process the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) guarantees their wood and wood products are harvested in sustainable forests; this timber's provenance can be traced back to its origin forests across the globe. The FSC also certifies reclaimed wood, such as submerged timbers from old logging sites, and paper products. For The Go Green Home, Fernando and Robin have combed L.A. area building material suppliers and found FSC-certified framing lumber; through Phillips Plywood they have procured a non-off-gassing plywood.
