With the help of an energy audit, we can determine the current performance of our client's home. Using advanced measurement tools, we can identify those areas where the home is most energy wasteful. Our energy audit looks at the entire building envelope including the wall systems, insulation, door and windows, and the level of air leakage in between building materials; combustion appliance zones including areas with furances, boilers, and water heaters; and the movement of air inside the home to ensure that the air your family is breathing is clean and safe. During the audit, we use, among other tools, a blower door to measure the rate of air infiltration in the home, a duct blaster to test whether your ducts are well-sealed, infrared cameras to pinpoint air leakage and insufficient insulation.
