People

Go Green Construction is made up of a diverse group of seasoned hammers, businessmen, artists, designers and entertainment professionals each of whom wanted to make a difference in the world in their own, green way.

Fernando Feldman,  PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER

In his many lives Fernando learned building is the most fun -- and green is even better. From celebrity wine cellars to the greenest home in Los Angeles, Fernando builds homes with an impeccable attention to detail and smart design. His commitment to building green means that his clients, his workers, and the planet, can benefit from healthier building practices. Fernando co-founded the LA Green Homes Committee which is helping to pave the way for city-wide green building standards. He also speaks regularly at real estate brokerages, rotary clubs, schools, and other venues to educate his community about going green.

Stephen Li,  OFFICE MANAGER AND DESIGNER

A graduate from nearby CSUN in civil engineering and veteran in organizations like the associated student senate and other professional groups, Stephen has the education and know-how to keep the engine running smooth at Go Green Construction. He is the overlord to the internship program, the mastermind of updates on the website and blog, and the leader of the recycling program. His passion of design takes him beyond just an office manager, but as a designer and creative thinker.

Antoinette Argel,  OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Antoinette graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Cal Poly Pomona. Knowing that accounting could not directly save a life or feed the hungry, she realized she can help the people who save the world. This is when Antoinette came to Go Green Construction, Inc hoping to help Fernando and his team build a healthier place for everyone. Thankfully, Antoinette is not the one holding the hammer or a saw, but she does help logistically by handling the accounts payables, receivables and payroll. Exciting I know! You can find this young college graduate dancing in her office chair to the sounds of the Supremes and Al Green while researching ways to save money and how to stay organized. As the newest member to the Go Green Family, she is quickly learning that the only downside of going green is that no one kills spiders. She is terrified of spiders.

Manuel Cisneros,  CONTRIBUTOR

As a kid, Manuel remembers driving with his parents through downtown L.A and he would wonder how sky scrapers were able to stand without collapsing. Even though he was not aware of it, he was developing a passion for building. He attended Cal Poly SLO to pursue an engineering degree but the future had different plans for him. He had to abandon the program due to unfortunate circumstances. It was during his stay at Cal Poly that he first learned about sustainable design. Manuel was amazed on how something so simple such as choosing the right material and fixtures could reduce energy cost and environmental impact. To him this is what sustainability is all about, amplifying the life of a project while having the least amount of impact on our environment. After taking a year off from college Manuel decided engineering was what he wanted to do and he decided to continue his engineering education. He now attends CSUN where he is completing his engineering degree while contributing at Go Green.

Yessica Perez,  CONTRIBUTOR

Yessica is an undergrad student attending California State University of Northridge majoring in Interior Design. Her focus is on Interior Architecture and the relationship between the environment and people, and as well as applying her perspective of the world into her work. She plans to continue with her education in green design and further exploring new ways in making green design both accessible and economical for everyone to use. When she is not at school or work, you can find this soon-to-be designer reading Jane Austen or shopping at Zara.

Pookie,  COMPANY MASCOT

"Arf! Arf!" (dogspeak for "Go Green!") Pookie had no further comment. Her bio will have to be brief, or terribly redundant (Arf! Arf! Arf! Grrrrr).
